Giving up on milk seems like giving up on all desert, breakfast options, smoothies and so on. Here, we’ve got 10 non-dairy milk variations that will make you forget about cow milk, and you can make these all by yourself.

Note, the ingredients that are hard will require soaking in water for a few hours, best bet is overnight.

Feel free to add sweeteners of choice, such as maple syrup or pitted dates.

 

 

  1. Rice Non-Dairy Milk 

1 cup of rice

4 cups of water

Blend the ingredients and sieve through cheese cloth.

Will stay in the refrigerator for 3-5 days.

 

Note: soak rice for 8-10 hours (overnight)

 

  1. Chocolate rice milk

Rice milk, just add

2 tbsp of cocoa

 

  1. Oat milk

1 cup of oat

3 cups of water

Pitted dates for sweetness

 

  1. Almond milk

1 cup of almonds (soaked overnight)

4 cups of water

1 date or two

 

  1. Coconut milk

1 cup of shredded coconut

1 cup of hot water

1 frozen banana

1 cup of water

1+1/2 cup of cashew (soak for 2 hours)

2 cups of water

Pitted date

 

  1. Hemp seed milk

1 cup of hemp seed

2 cups of water

sweetener

 

  1. Almond butter milk

2 tbsp of almond butter

2 cups of water

Pinch of salt

Pitted date
