Consumptions before and after Yoga class
It is essential to know what you should and should not consume before and after a yoga class. We need to be aware of our consumption in order to avoid unnecessary bloating, hurtful gas during a yoga class. As well as, not to throw our yoga session out the window, we should know what to eat after the class, to maintain healthy body. So, here are our Yoga Meals suggestions.
Before Class Yoga Meals
It is good not to drink for 15 minutes before the class. If you have morning yoga session, you could grab a smoothie. Juice before yoga class would also be helpful, especially green juice, in terms of needed energy during the class. Lemon and warm water would also be a good option.
Don’t eat any meal for 30 minutes before yoga class. A bigger/ full portion of meal should not be consumed within 3 hours of practice. For a light meal, you can have oat meal, nuts and raisins. Fresh fruits as a snack, banana with almond butter, apple with peanut butter could be perfect snack.
After Class Yoga Meals
Coconut water would quiet your thirst without hurting your progress in the fitness journey. An apple is also good source of hydration in this case. Additionally, smoothie with seeds will be useful to getting those nutritions that your body needs.
After a yoga class, body needs nutritious meal. However, do not fall into sugar craving trap. Go for oatmeal with a drizzle of maple syrup for sweetness. Vegan Yogurt with nuts would be great, as well. Hummus and Avacado? Help yourselves!
