3 Vegan Burger Recipes

Amazon Vegan

I am going to present you my new favorite go-to meals – vegan burger. I have been wanting to eat hamburger for a while now, and I was not sure how to make patties both vegan and healthy way. So, I searched and searched and gather these 3 recipes that I really loved. Plus, the best thing about these recipes is that you can add and/or omit the ingredients as you’d like. It would be great either way. I have named the burgers by the main ingredient, actually, hence it is easier to remember, in my opinion. 🙂

Now, less talking, more cooking!

Vegan burger chickpea
Chickpea Burger

1. Chickpea Burger

for this deliciousness we will need:
a cup chickpea
one boiled potato
one small onion
desired amount of:
finely chopped parsley
chili
cumin
ginger
salt & pepper
lemon juice

Start by mashing chickpeas and potatoes first. Then, add the other ingredients and mix well. The mixture should be sticky. If it is too sticky you can use flour to get it off your hands when forming them into patties.

Well, after making the patties you can either fry them or bake them. To fry them, put a non-stick pan on the stove and sprinkle some olive oil. put the patties and flip them occasionally. However, I want to keep my food as healthy as possible, to be honest. So, I prefer baking them in the oven. Actually, since everything is etheri already cooked or edible, we don’t really need to put it in the oven or in the pan. But, whatever, right? Just kidding, when putting in the oven, surface gets a bit more solid, which makes it easier to move it around. However, keep in mind that, since it has no egg in it the mixture can fall apart easily.

After 10 minutes, flip to the other and bake it 10 more minutes. Enjoy your vegan burger.

Eggplant burger

2. Eggplant Burger

ingredients:
2-3 eggplant
1 flax egg
1 mediun onion
desired amount of:
bread crumbs
finely chopped parsley
chili
salt & pepper
lemon juice

* you can also add carrots and/ or corn if you want

First off, let’s make the flax egg. To make 1 flax egg we need 1 tablespoon of groud flax and 2 tablespoon of warm water. Put it aside, let it thicken up. While waiting for that, let’s make our ‘dough’. Dice eggplants, line in the baking sheet and put them into oven until they are soft and a bit cooked. Prepare all the ingredients, and mix them all together in a food processor or with fork or knead with hand. Add as much bread crumbs as needed. The same procedure applies, knead until it is sticky but not sticky to the hand, if that makes sense. 🙂

Make them into patties, line them in the sheet, put it in the oven until desired cooked-level. You can make them into meatballs and enjoy them on the pasta with some sauce, as well. Tastes amazing. Trust me.

3. Black Eyed Pea Burger

ingredients:
1 cup black eyed pea
2 boiled potato
1 tablesppon tomato sauce
desired amount of:
finely chopped parsley
basil
chili
cumin
salt & pepper
oregano

You know the drill. Just dump them in the food processor. The mixture should be in the pefrect consistency not to add any more flour or bread crumbs. Keep the in the oven until desired cooked-level. That’s all.

Because I used potatoes in it, I don’t want to add any more carbs, actually. So, yeah, that is all. This time, I slightly fired them in olive oil, but oven would do great, too.

So, that is it for this post. Soon I will be posting more recipes for the vegan burger, as we want more veggies in our food.
